What is Awana?
Bible memory is one of the greatest strengths of Awana’s ministry. As students work through their handbooks they will earn different prizes and badges that can be sewn onto their Awana uniform. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. EBC is excited to offer Awana to the families in our community because we believe faith in Jesus is the greatest gift any of us can give our kids.
Awana serves children in Pre-K through 6th grade and their families. Our team of volunteer leaders prepare weekly games, lessons, and Bible studies. Parents participate at home by helping their children with individualized Bible study goals that are guided by child handbooks. In this way, Awana is a wonderful expression of ministry partnership between the church and parents. We engage children in the love of God's Holy Word, and the gospel message is prominent in each lesson. Children are a powerful ministry to our community, inviting their parents, siblings, and friends to know, love, and obey God's Word. Come, discover Awana at EBC!
