We believe that God loves children and calls the church to treat them as one of their greatest treasures. Rather than isolating children in a quiet corner, we want to love them and include them as members of our church family.
All volunteers who serve in our children's ministries have received training on abuse prevention and have cleared EBC's background check guidelines.
Nursery & Toddlers
We provide a nursery for children 0-2 upstairs in our Christian Education building (the only staircase that leads up from the main level). We also have a class for children ages 2-4 downstairs in the Christian Education building. When you bring your children for the first time, please be sure to fill out the registration form so we have necessary emergency and contact information.
Kids in Worship & Junior Church
Children over the age of four are encouraged to participate in the first portion of our worship service until they are dismissed for Junior Church. We understand that kids get wiggly and sometimes loud - that's absolutely ok! Children are a blessing, not an inconvenience. If you are used to your kids having a separate service, this may be an adjustment, but we trust you'll be surprised how much they are able to retain.
Christian Education (Sunday School)
The Holy Bible is simple enough for a child to read and deep enough for the most mature adult to continue exploring. We provide Christian Education classes for children from the nursery all the way up through adulthood. Most classes combine two grades (Grades 1&2, Grades 3&4, etc.). Classes are clearly labeled on the doors outside each classroom. The only classes that take place outside of the main building are the two high school classes, which meet upstairs in the office building (the white house out front of the church).
Awana is an international ministry hosted by churches around the world. EBC is pleased to offer Awana to families in our community for kids ages 3-grade 6. There are age-appropriate groups for toddlers, younger elementary kids and older elementary kids. The night is built around three components: Game time, Large Group time with a lesson for your group, and Handbook time where you review your Bible memory verses with a leader in your small group.
Awana follows the school calendar and meets on Wednesday nights at EBC from 6:30-8:00. Click the Awana Logo above or go HERE to learn more about Awana at EBC.
Vacation Bible School is a weekly Bible-themed camp that EBC runs for children in our community (for free!). VBS will run July 15-19, 2019. Stay tuned for registration information.
Throw on your camera strap and buckle your seatbelt. VBS 2019 takes you on a wild adventure—with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles. As you seek out exotic animals, you’ll also find snapshots of real-life encounters with Jesus in Scripture. Kids go from bewildered to believing as they get “In the Wild” at this summer’s VBS.
