We believe that God loves children and calls the church to treat them as one of their greatest treasures. Rather than isolating children in a quiet corner, we want to love them and include them as members of our church family. We offer childcare during worship service (we call it Junior Church or Child Watch) but is not required if your child wants to stay for the entire service.
All volunteers who serve in our children's ministries have received training on abuse prevention and have cleared EBC's background check guidelines.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
Nursery – Babies through Age 2
We have a fully furnished/equipped nursery. The nursery is open for families if needed and is currently staffed. Worship service is streamed via audio.
Junior Church/Child Watch During Service– Age 3 through Grade 5
Junior Church meets in a classroom downstairs. Children stay with families at the beginning of worship service and are dismissed when announcements begin. There is a weekly lesson from the Gospel Light curriculums.
Sunday Christian Education for All Ages
During the school year, we have Sunday Christian Education classes for all ages after worship service and fellowship time! The elementary grade students are learning from Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life.

7-Day Prayer Guide for Kids & Families
This resource from Focus on the Family goes through "PRAY" - Praise God, Recognize His Gifts, Ask God for Forgiveness, and Your Requests. Each day adapts this for a different topic: your own walk with God, your family, your friends, your church, your school, your nation, and the world.
Resources from Group
Above is a link to free children's & youth resources below from Group Publishing. There are video lessons and activity ideas and pages you can print out, along with devotionals for teens. There are resources for how Jesus's power helps us overcome fear and for many Bible stories and lessons. No login required.
Resources from LifeWay
LifeWay Christian Resources also provides lessons for children - see link above. You need to create a free account, and then you can click Kids at Home or Preschool at Home. The children's and youth Sunday School classes at EBC have been working through materials from LifeWay, so some things may be familiar for those who have come in the past.
Kids' Bible App
Samaritan's Purse has created a free Bible app for kids based on the discipleship course offered to children who receive shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child. The Greatest Journey app teaches Bible lessons and memory verses and is geared toward kids ages 5-9. To download the app or view a trailer for it, click the link above.
